If you have been reading my 3-part series about autoimmune disease, you will already have read about the connection between stress, particularly childhood stress and autoimmune disease. You will also have read about how to reduce autoimmune disease with SCIO Therapy treatment. This article looks at another holistic therapy in the treatment of autoimmune disease, hypnosis. What is Hypnotherapy?

Hypnotherapy uses hypnosis to speak directly to an individual’s subconscious mind. This is often called ‘a state of heightened awareness.’

In my company, I use Rapid Transformational Hypnotherapy® with my clients to initiate rapid and powerful change usually in 1-3 sessions. Rapid Transformational Hypnotherapy works as there is an intrinsic link between the body and the mind.

Our mind is full of unconscious thoughts and ideas. If these thoughts are full of positivity and love, you’re going to feel good, uplifted, energised. If your thoughts are negative, the body can experience all sorts of nasty and unpleasant sensations and conditions

Hypnosis allows the individual to enter a relaxed, trance state. This allows Rapid Transformational Therapy (RTT) Hypnotherapists, such as myself, to communicate directly with the subconscious mind. Here, lies the root of all of our imbalances, fears, attachments, as well as positive and negative associations. By making suggestions and opening a dialogue with the subconscious, we can begin to stimulate change, positivity and growth. 

Autoimmune Disease and Hypnotherapy

I have already explained the link between autoimmune disease and stress, particularly childhood stress, within my previous two blog posts. I also gave some information about how to reduce and manage physical symptoms of autoimmune disease with SCIO Therapy in part 2 of this series.

So, what about autoimmune disease and hypnotherapy? Well, hypnotherapy is an effective way of addressing the mental aspect of autoimmune disease. Particularly when it is associated with childhood abuse and stress. Due to the mind-body connection, this can have a devastating effect on the body and its symptoms. 

Through focused concentration and relaxation, hypnotherapy helps the individual to address both the mental and physical aspects of pain and autoimmune changes in the body. With hypnosis, an individual is able to address pain and control or reprogramme the way the body and mind respond to it. When you are in control of your thoughts, you are in control of your body.
